Color Wheel

Interactive color wheel. Click to choose a color and explore its harmonies: complementary, analogous, triadic, tetradic. Ideal for composing palettes.

Color theory in practice

The color wheel is the fundamental tool of color theory. Developed by Itten and Albers at the Bauhaus, it organizes colors by hue on a 360° circle. Click anywhere on the wheel to select a color and instantly visualize all its harmonic relationships.

Composing with harmonies

Color harmonies describe mathematical relationships between colors on the wheel. Complementary (180°) creates maximum contrast. Analogous (±30°) ensures coherence. Triadic (120°) balances three colors. Tetradic (90°) offers maximum richness.
