Color Sorter

Sort and organize a list of colors by hue, lightness, saturation or temperature. Visualize before/after, copy the sorted palette as CSS, JSON or HEX list.

Why sort your colors?

Sorting a palette by hue creates a natural gradient and helps identify spectrum gaps. Sorting by lightness helps verify accessibility coverage. Sorting by saturation reveals the most vivid and neutral colors.

Sorting by temperature

A color's temperature indicates whether it's perceived as warm (reds, oranges, yellows) or cool (greens, blues, purples). Sorting by temperature is useful for creating consistent emotional gradients in a UI or illustration.
